Ismo Dance Co.

Ismo Dance co is the brainchild of the Finnish choreographer and dancer Ismo-Pekka Heikinheimo.

The company was formed in 2003 by Ismo-Pekka Heikinheimo, Simon Le Roux & Jukka Huitila.

Ismo Dance creates and produces dance theatre and dance film, and arranges performances, tours, exhibitions and art happenings. Ismo Dance promotes dance education with audience discussions and school groups.

Work groups are formed for each new show, and include co-productions with other nordic dance companies, visiting choreographers, dancers, designers and artists. The company supports dynamic interdisciplinary work with independant artists.

The company creates 1 to 3 new productions per year, ranging from solos to large group pieces.
